I was one of the very early participants in the Sandbox Net. I believe that Paul, VE2QR, Don, VE3ESE and myself (VE3EST at that time) were in conversation on 40M. Paul and myself were sharing info on the pussy- cats we had and owing to the length of the transmissions Paul asked if Don and I would carry on for a few minutes while he went to "THE SANDBOX" and I believe that was the birth of the Sandbox Net or at least the concept.
